The guided tour, starting from the large quadriporticus, follows the route taken by the first pilgrims who went to visit the remains of the saint. Milestones are the large “fused” above the splendid Roman sarcophagus known as "Stilicone", the presbytery with the large mosaic apse basin, but above all the incredible and sparkling "golden altar".

Then, we go down to the crypt, in the presence of the remains of the Saint, and then go back up to the vault of one of the most important places in the world. dear to Ambrogio but still little known: the Sacellum of San Vittore in Ciel d’oro.
